Catrice Clay-ton, My Hero!

I finally found my perfect nude!
It's not exactly nude, since I like nail polish to be visible and noticeable, but it macthes my skin tone so perfectly so I dedcided to call it a nude.
The color is caramel-beige with golden micro shimmer that gives the polish greenish look. As my skin tone is olive, the combination is perfect.

Polish is covering nail line in just one coat, and I preffer the tone of the polish in just one coat, but I did two just for the photo. It's a bit darker in the second layer.

Bottom line: I recommend this polish to all olive toned skin girls, but I would also like to see this polish on someone lighter and paler. From swatches I saw it looks more brown than caramel on lighter skin.

Anyway, I believe Catrice is pulling this one out, so if you like it you better hurry and grab your Clay-ton.

Essence What do you think? with Essence matt top coat

After posting my yesterday's mani I've found an older photo of What do you think? with matt top coat.

Just a short review of Essence matt top coat: Altough some girls don't like it because it leaves white pieces on the nail after it's been opened for a while, I haven't noticed that. I bought it just after it was released and it's been opened since then and there was no change in quality. I guess I got the 'good' bottle then.

I love What do you think? better matted, the color becomes less bright and you can see that the polish has some bit of pink in it, too.

The photo isn't so good, but I was taking this one before I started blogging so I haven't been paying so much attention to details...

Essence What do you think? Fire mani

Yet, another Essence polish!
I think Esseence What do you think is the perfect orange for my skin tone : not too bright, and not too pale. But I don't think the quality matches the greatness of the color.

Every time I wear it, it chips in large pieces the same day, and in two days I peel it of my nails in stripes...
Perhaps the worst Essence polish that I own... And I do own quite a few...

Here are the photos:

I found out about BM contest on facebook too late, so I didn't get the chance for getting new plates. But I decided not to care, since I'm not done with the ideas for old plates yet...  :)
I really enjoyed this mani. Too bad it lasted for about 30 hours only, thanks to What do you think?.

What do YOU think?

Color Club Uptown Girl Scotch tape mani

Yes, I found wavy scissors that I wanted to buy just to copy some great manis from Queen of the Scotch tape: Chloe.

As a base I used Color Club Uptown Girl, polish that was my lemming for some time before I got it. And I must say, it justified the desire. It applied smoothly, and two layers were more than enough.

I must admit I fell for the name, which is perfect for this kind of color. It's there, but it's so subtle and gentle that it can be appropriate for every occasion.
Speaking of.... I know some of you will laugh now, but I've got to say: I was rather dissapointed with the condition of 'Royal nails' on friday. Yes, I'm talking about Kate Middleton and the Royal wedding that's been bombing us from every portal and tv. And I must admit I quickly glanced at live streaming of it, and, of course, as a nail addict, I was looking forward to see her nails. And altough she looked stunning, real princess in every way, I was expecting an elegant mani as well. I guess I wanted to see at least an unnoticeable nude or subtle french nails, but nothing was there... :(
Now, go on, call me crazy :)  But does anyone else agrees with me? :)

On to my own nails. My very first, and in my opinion succesfull, mani with wavy Scotch tape:

The first three photos were taken in the shade, and the next two are in the sun (ignore sheet mark on the ring finger)

And I must also show you the reason why I chose this specific color. I bought a new ring, and I'm infatuated by it. I kept watching it and tried to find something in my collection that was close to be a dupe for the color of the ring. Since my collection isn't (yet) that impressive, this color was the closest.
Do you like the irng as much as I do?

As I am a big fan of giveaways I invite everyone to join, and welcome new followers. You must be a public follower of this blog, and there is just one extra entry if you put my blog on your blogroll.
The only condition is that you own a blog yourself, since I've heard from a lot of my friend bloggers of people who create a GFC account just to hunt giveaways. Of course it doesn't have to be only nails blog, but if your blog is created just for giveaways I will not accept your entry.

As I appreciate the effort you girls give into your blogs, I want to dedicate this giveaway to all the small, yet undiscovered blogs out there.
I have to add that the giveaway isn't sponsored, I bought all the polishes myself.
Giveaway will be closed on 15th of May.

The entry form is linked below, please fill the form, and good luck!
