Essence I Love Berlin I'm a Berliner

First of all: I must apologize for lack of posts last week, but lots of things happened, some bad, some good, but took me some time to get together.

Now on to the photos!
Some time ago I saw this photo Green apple and since than I've been wanting that polish, but now Essence, as always, got us a cheaper, but not less of a quality, great nail polish in Granny-Smith-Apple-color.
Here it is:

I adore this polish!!
Application was wonderful, pigmentation so good that it could have gotten away with only one coat!
Here are more pics:

Would you buy it too, or you think the color is hideous, like my mother does?

How stamping saved the day!

I promised to show you how I saved this beautiful polish from Essence from being wiped of my nails very same day I put it on. It's not that good quality so I got tipwears same afternoon. But thanks to some smart people at Bundle Monster this stamping image is perfect for situations like this: just put it on the tip of your nail and it won't look like three-days-old-mani anymore:

The shape of this image is made for square-shaped nails so there's no problem with stamping like with the rest of images that are oval-shaped. Anyway, if I didn't tell you yet: you MUST have BM plates. They're too cheap to argue about it, and not a bad quality, too.Their images for the whole nail are smaller than the ones from Konad, but if you have small nail plate like I do, that won't be a problem.

Essence Denim Wanted Five Pocket Grey

This is a polish from last year's Essence collection called Denim wanted.  It's a beautiful lighter grey with blue touch. Makes my hands look sofisticated and it's appropriate for short as well as long nails (you know that 'rule' that nude polishes are supposed to be worn in case of longer nails) because it's neither light, nude, nor too dark.
Enough talk, pics:

You can see that blue undertone in the second picture. Application was great, but tipwear appeared same afternoon. Tomorrow I'll show you how Bundle Monster solved that problem.

Milani Glitz

Or should I call this post unsuccesful nail-art?
When I saw Milani Glitz (from my Milani haul that I got from Vampy Varnish) it was my favourite of them all. But when I put it on, I saw that it didn't get along with my skin tone at all. :(   Plus, it was too shiny with too much glitter for everyday wear. So I decided to put Essence matt top coat on. That blurried Glitz, but total effect was dull, like worn-out and washed-out old gold.
And then... A wicked idea came to my mind: why not put some black sinuous lines on it? I only wish I had taken the picture BEFORE that wicked idea made me do this:

I posted  this photos just to show you Milani. Look at this great glitter! And I think matt top coat looks great on it, because it puts away too much shine and leaves great structured polish that consists of gold, yellow and orange particles.

Sally Hansen Pink Rose Diamond

Another Rainbow-in-every-bottle jewel from Sally Hansen, this time pinky holo:

It's so beautiful that I had to post 6 photos! This is in the sun: (that I waited for so long) the rainbow is best visible in this blurry pic that shows only three nails and which I accidentally took. :)

And this is in the shadow:

All in all color I would recommend, even though it's my first holo, and I have no other pink rose color to compare it to, I would say it's pretty much similar to OPI DS Reserve or China Glaze Don't be square.
I'm planning to order Nubar Reclaim because if I love a pink holo, I will die for green one, since green polishes are my favourite.

That's all for now, big kiss

Color Club Rule Breaker

I don't see the point. Why is this subtle, beautiful, rich dark green polish named Rule breaker? It doesn't break any rules, it sets a new set of rules, and the main is: Buy it right away!!! Another rule is: be opaque in one layer, and gain color as shown in the bottle at two layers that will dry in seconds. Third rule: be easily applicable and have a good brush. And last: have that great metal-like finish.

And the pics:

So, Rule setter is my new favourite polish for winter time. Even though it's dark green, it doesn't really remind me of Christmas manicures so it's fine for these post-Christmas and post-New Year's mani's. Color is best described as peacock feathers in the sun, with more green than blue tone.

Milani Gems (Happy New Year!)

Hello again and Happy New Year everyone!

Milani One Coat Glitter polishes, that I won on Vampy Varnish giveaway, came to my just on time: on 31st December, so I got to wear Gems on New Year's eve!
Look at them, how pretty they are:

And this is Gems:

It's a  very glittery polish, with tons of different colored and sized octagonal glitter. There are mainly silver, red and blue glitter, but you can also find gold, orange, green... It's so shiny and draws attention, definitely not for everyday wear, but perfect if you want to celebrate something.
Here's the swatch:

As a base I used a no name dark blue polish. I was unsatisfied with it because it didn't have a very good finish and it bubbled, but Gems saved the day. With it as a top coat all the imperfections were disguised and I was ready to celebrate! :)
So now I just have to swatch the rest of them. I have them lined up on the table and admire them all day, my roommates are begining to wonder about my mental health, as if I haven't shown them I'm a nail-addict enough times before. (laughs like a maniac)
That's it for now, I hope you all had a good party day before yesterday, I know I did. Too good, maybe, since I'm still recovering from it :)
