Yolizul Fluorescentes - Yellow

If you're from Croatia you've probably heard of this brand even though it's Spanish (? I think) because you can get it in Offertissima, a store that sells cheap stuff and can be found in every larger town in Croatia. This product is also cheap (1$!), but you can't tell it by its quality.

They change their range of colors every now and then (sort of collections) and as soon as I saw this one I fell in love. Now I'm banging my head for not buying all four colors (all true neons: yellow, orange, pink and green), but I wanted to try their quality first.

Even though it says Fluorescentes, it is really a neon polish. It acquires 4 coats and there is still visible nail line, but I must say that it took me less than 20 mins for all four coats because this thing dries superfast!

But next time I'll be applying it over white or butter color just to see it's full opacity.
SInce my nails are finally long enough I don't hate visible nail line this time :)
Finish is something between matte and plastic, I don't know how else to describe it. Here it is with top coat because I preffer glossy.

Patchwork and awards!

Hi guys!

It's time for little awarding!
Altough it takes me so much time to do award posts, I really like receiving one because I know there are bloggers out there who like my blog enough to give it an award. So thank you for that!

But, first I must show you what I did with yesterday's nail polish. According to many of your comments, you really liked that one. But I wouldn't be what I am if I didn't add something on it.
This simple nail art was inspired by Kayla Shevonne who made na excellent tutorial on patchwork.

I'm sorry for not so good photos this time, but the weather was cloudy and I couldn't help it, since I don't have a light box and this is the best that my low quality camera can do. That's why my hands look like dead man's... :(

Now on to the awards!
I got two of them :)

First, Top 10 award

The Top 10 award rules:

- Thank the person who tagged you and link to their blog.
- Put the Top 10 Award logo on your blog.
- List your top 10 cosmetics.
- Choose 10 bloggers to tag, link to their blogs, and let them know.

Thanks to MorePolishPlz who tagged me for this one. She's rather new in blog world so I send her my support to keep the good work.

10 cosmetics:

I must say that, except for nail polishes, I'm not really a cosmetics person, as you will see from my list.

1.Nail polish -  all of them, from cheapest to most expensive ones, I can't really make a choise of one, because I love all that I own
2.Lip balm - I can't live without it, my lips tend to get dry and I constantly have at least two or three with me
3.Essence Eyebrow set - I like my brows big and thick
4.Hair spray - any brand (except Garnier) will do
5.Black eye pencil
6.Green Line corrector in stick
7.88 eyeshadow palette from Coastal Scents with metallic finish
8.Refan hand creams - they all smell so good and do their job great
9.Garnier pure toner with zinc
10.Catrice lipstick - they all act like lip balm: keep your lips moisturized instead of drying them out like most lipsticks do

That was hard, I had no more inspiration after number 7! :)
I will tag blogs in the end of post, as I have to tag more blogs for the other award.

Second award is Best Blog Award

The rules for this one are are:

- Link back to the person who passed you the award
- Complete the form below
- Share 7 random things about yourself
- Award 10 blogs
- Drop them a line and tell them about it

Thank you D.I.A.N.A. for tagging me!
Name your favorite color: It's complicated, in nail polish it would be green and blue, and as my symbol  and color that suits me best I choose red
Name your favorite song:  Again, it's complicated, I have the best sad song, best 'story' song, best lifting song... I would rather name the band that made most of my favourite songs: Bon Jovi
Name your favorite dessert: Fruit cake that I don't have to do by myself :)
What makes you mad?  Human greed, amorality and rudeness
When you’re upset you… :  Sing
Your favorite pet? My dog Timmy, now 17 years old, sort of a part of our family
Black or white? Black, it can be combined with anything
Your biggest fear is? Living a boring life
Your best feature is? I'm always right! :)  I organize things pretty good.
Everyday attitude: I must seize the day!
What is perfection? Perfection is a thing they try to get you believe in so you could spend your days looking for it instead of living your life
Guilty Pleasure: As all nail bloggers, I suppose: buying something from a wishlist and then craving for the next thing on the list and forgeting about the thing I just bought!

I already said 7 random things about myself for some other award so I don't feel like saying it again, I have no more inspiration! :)

Basic Beauty no.71

Another great color from a rather uknown polish brand: Basic Beauty.
Beside the fact that their colors are named with numbers there's nothing really to complain about.
The quality is pretty good for the price, they dry super fast, colors are amazing and two coats are more than enough.
I would recommend them to every polish lover.

Here are the photos, first in the shade:

And now see how the foil finish sparkles in the sun!

Essence Undead

Hello!

Today I wanted to do something nice with my nails since I finaly caught some time, but I had absolutely no idea what to do. So I randomly picked a bottle of polish out of the box and the chosen one was Essence Undead.
It's an older polish from last year's collection Eclipse. I probably showed you this one already, but as a part of some mani, not just the polish itself.

I'm not a fan of those vampire movies this collection was named after, but I had to have this polish. It's a black base with purple shimmer captivated in it. I like the fact that it can pass as a regular black polish, but the shimmer is visible if you look really hard, and if the sun comes up.
In the first three photos you can't really see the shimmer, they were taken in the shade, but towards the end (sun came up) shimmer becomes more visible.

I added some chains with my old Bundle Monster plates. I've been planning to order the new ones but I still haven't tried all the patterns from the ones I own, so I thought it wasn't neccesary. But, then again, I also have around 10 untried polishes and I keep buying new ones...?!
Polish-a-holic, what can you do...

I found out this week that I got a summer job as a waitress in a beach cafe. I'm excited because they will pay me very well, and as a student I must use every opportunity to earn some money, but one minute later I was sad because that means I will have to put this little blog of mine on a pause. My hands will be in the water all the time, and my nails are probably gonna be so short that I'll be embarassed to show them to you, and I won't have any time or energy to paint them since it's a 10 hours job 7 days a week.

That's why I'll enjoy this few weeks that I still have my nails and do some nice manis, I promise.

First ruffian mani

I just don't know how you girls do it so perfectly without sencils!
I can't make it that neat with my bare hands...

But I want to show it to you anyway, although it may not be perfect, to let you know I'm still alive. Boy it's been two weeks since my last post! I'm ashamed...

In my life I always had to have an obsession. It's been nail polishing for the last year, collecting beer cans before that, and Bon Jovi before that.
I used to be  pretty nuts about those guys in high school. I knew all the songs and how they are numered on each album, I followed every single detail about their lives and...Well, you get the picture :)
I'm not so wild about them for the last few years since I don't really fancy their newer albums, but they had their first concert in Croatia last wednesday so old emotions came to me after the concert: old obsession shortly replaced the new one! So I spent every spare minute (and there hasn't been so many at all since my exams started) searching You tube to find some Bon Jovi videos that I still haven't seen.

That's my sort of excuse for not writing, now onto the Ruffian.

As a base I used a chinese no name pink polish, and on top of it I put Manhattan black 60 seconds dry polish.
For a first time it's not that bad, I think, but I have to practice more. The trembling line is not so uneven as it looks on those photos, but of course close-up photos show all mistakes. :)

Thank you all my dear followers for still following and not forgeting about me!

New dress mani

Long time, no see...  :)
But because of this longer pause I have one extra cute mani to show you. I went to my cousin's wedding on saturday so I got a new dress. As soon as I saw it I had an idea what to do with my nails.
I think this suits round-shaped nails. I got quite used to them by now, in fact I learned to love those. And I don't have to curse every time I hit a piece of furniture 'cause my nails don't break anymore, due to this shape :)

Here's the mani, sorry for picture spam, but I couldn't pick just a few of them.

As a base I used Catrice Clay-ton, my hero!. With scotch tape I put one coat of Manhattan 60 seconds plain black polish, and with my new favourite stamping polish, Sally Hansen Chrome (they're all excellent for stamping) I added these little flowers.
And here's the dress that inspired me:

And, of course, matching foot mani:

I hope you don't mind me posting every 6-7 days, but as I already explained, I simply don't have time.
I have one bonus photo for you, I did my mother's nails also for the wedding, she wanted a matching mani, too.
Here's what I came up with:
